I reload with Goex 2F or Swiss 2F. There are some longrange shooters that use Goex 3F, but remember that the powder is just one of several componets. The longrange shooters fine tune the bullet, primer, case, etc. I avoid the cowboy loads because they are smokeless powder, and I do not know the specifics of the cartridge. if you google BPCR you will see several sites and forums that will also assist you. The opening page of this site has a lot of information, scroll down, and look at the shooters button for additional information. When you use black powder, you greatly reduce the worry that one should have when shooting a rifle that is 150 years old, and the cloud of smoke will be sure to attract someone at the range, and the opportunity to make a new friend. I have been searching for a few days for a Fecker or Unertl scope, when I have a Leupold and Nikon in the safe, may be why I use black powder in place of smokeless or Pyrodex(which is a BP sub)
