There are several retailers that sell top quality black powder ammunition. The quality is good from all of them. Just be sure to purchase black powder loads, and not cowboy loads. take a look at the BPCR forums for lots of information. BPCR(dot)net(slash)forum will get you there and informed. The steel in these old rifles is 150 years old, and you have no idea of how it has been treated during those 150 years.Safety glasses and earplugs will not be enough if you have a failure. There are plenty of cleaners available via retailers to clean up the remains of the BP.
