Smokeless! Your lucky it all held up. I have a old friend that used to hunt coyotes with smokeless out of his 1879 carbine.. kicked like a mule, but managed to hold up. I would not recommend it though. Old gun, old metal ect. I was called at the last LBH school shoot about a bunch of ammo I re-loaded for them and a lot of the repo's were having their blocks blow open (black powder)! The repos are nothing like the original! The originals held up well including the few of my rebuilds they were using. Way I figure it is if your going to play the game... shoot what they were shooting!
