Re: A "Thumbs up" to Lodgewood, was What's wrong with the picture?

I have had occasional dealings with Lodgewood at the Baltimore show for 20 years, and they have always been first rate in their knowledge and helpfulness and prices are competitive. I am proud to have recommended them to a number of people looking for items.

They really are mainly focused on the Civil War era stuff and supporting the North-South Skirmish type folks, and were very helpful in picking out the correct parts I needed for some restoration projects on CW arms.

No dealer can know all about everything, (I speak from experience!) so to err is human. To correct erroneous descriptions is what sets the good guys apart for m the sharks.

Of course, the flip side of dealer ignorance is the chance for experts to pick up some rarity that they spot which has been inaccurately described as some common item. Keep looking!
