Hollywood regularly used trapdoors with fake flintlock hammers and frizzens added and also big brass bands to make them look more like flintlock muskets, but useable with readily available blanks. These turn up from time to time.

Every truly obsessed trapdoor collector "needs" on of those in their collection. The only mildly obsessed may be able to get along without one. For now.
