Re: Missouri River Pawn (GB seller)

Posted by Dick Hosmer on Tuesday, 22 May 2012, at 10:15 a.m., in response to Re: Missouri River Pawn (GB seller), posted by Bob Meyer on Tuesday, 22 May 2012, at 9:21 a.m.

Yes, I'd heard the Baltimore 1884RRB story - some long, and red, faces on that one!

I've now looked at the "seller's other auctions" for MRP and am not impressed. From their list of wares (a pawn shop is, after all, a pawn shop) I think it is entirely possible they could have blown the ID.

I'm familiar with their "handle" as I constantly troll Krags for another overlooked BoOF rifle. They (MRP) have had a couple of real K-turds for many moons now, but I had no reason to contact them until - while searching "1888" - this rifle came up.

Will be interesting to see what John finds out. As to his posting the info, I'd certainly expect first refusal of the rifle - but it would have to be a three-way deal of some sort, because MRP will NOT sell/ship to CA (and particularly not to me after our recent round of emails).
