Bob, That could well be as on June 17th. General Crooks combined infantry and cavlry command on the Rosebud river expended 25,000 rounds and the figures seems to indicate nine native american casualties. No reports of how many wounded nay have died later. Also they went to great lengths to recover their wounded and dead so figures may be slightly higher. read Finnerty " with Crook on the Rosebud".
