Good point Steven
I just reloaded some R-P 30-06 cases that were a mixed lot (50 0f range pickup) & some of the primers seated with VERY little resistance.
I have also found that the 45-70 reloads in multiple fired cases will also seat primers easily in some cases.
Of course head space cannot be "adjusted" on the TD. It is what it is. Case rim thickness may be the determining factor. Has anyone mic'd rims to see if different brands vary in thickness????
All in all, it sounds like too much pressure is being generated by the load.
