Your number would fall well into 1882, when no NEW carbines were produced. The second column from the right is a running total of all NEW arms produced through the end of a given year.
I ASSUME the far right column represents UNofficial observations of actual arms with such and such a dated cartouche and such and such a number.
The building of the starred arms (which were mostly carbines) with new specially marked receivers numbered in sequence but NOT counted as finished arms - since they were paid for from a different account - has caused a mess in the otherwise fairly tidy order of things. It just "is".
