I want to thank all you guys that have been posting here and answering all the questions on the use of the 45/70 Trapdoor. I am fairly new to shooting them and have been following the posts with interest. I take a lot of notes and am working on developing a procedure for myself to load the black powder. I have accumulated most of the components necessary and am trying to finalize a procedure so I can start loading BP. I still need a few things, but I'm almost there. I have all the dies, except a compression die, a couple of pounds of Goex FFG, primers, cases, now I need some soft lead, and the equipment to cast the bullets. I have used some smokeless with good success and I have been careful to follow the data for trapdoors and it has worked well, but I want to do the real thing with BP. So again, I thank all of you, too many names to mention and I don't want to run the risk of forgetting someone, so thank you all for all the information posted here as it has been most valuable to me. I don't post much, mostly just read and learn, but I will keep on reading and learning. Have a nice day and good shooting.
