Chuck, Ernie has some great advise. Just remember it took a long time for the rifle to get in its current condition. This cannot be reversed by any of the current oils or formulas overnight. Take your time read, read and read more. Once you change the rifle you cannot undo it. My thoughts, Linseed oil (sparingly) on the wood. And a fine turbine oil on the metal. Do not get the Turbine oil, in excess on the wood as it will deteriorate the wood. Linseed oil on the other hand will feed the wood and not harm the metal. Larry Sunday
