Re: Question about "long wrist"

Posted by Dick Hosmer on Wednesday, 4 January 2012, at 4:04 p.m., in response to Question about "long wrist", posted by Ken McBride on Wednesday, 4 January 2012, at 2:49 p.m.

Go back to my page (thanks for the note) and compare the carbine pics.

16572, 34752, and 43584 have long wrists. 89998 has the short wrist. The later wrist is also a bit larger in diameter. Long wrists have short combs (9.5") and vice-versa - 10.25" combs on short wrists.

The rare "transitional" stock will be a short wrist, but without butt trap. Don't need to get into receiver inletting differences, as nearly all such stocks HAVE the trap.
