Re: Model 1873 Springfield Trapdoor rifle

I have a Springfield model 1873 Trapdoor rifle. It has circle script "p" proof markings. The serial number is 26, 081. At the top of the stock, just above US, is GA stamped on it. There is a cartouche with the year 1886. I can't read the letters on the cartouche. I'm curious about any /history about the gun and possible value. Thank you.
