Thank you Dick and Ernie. Ernie, I really don't know either way on the Cartouche question. I believe you or someone else brought this up before. Your comments are the primary reason I keep looking it over. Other than the cartouches, I can't knock any holes in this stock.I really don't know what to say on this one. I wish I knew forsure. Dick, I do own the SN you mentioned. But I'll have to double check it to see if this is the one with this replacement stock. I own four long wrist stock carbines,this one with the replacement stock and a few 77's and a couple 79's. I refer to them according to what rear sights they are wearing. Just a shortcut habit I have. Probably not proper.Thanks Guys. Mike PS.It is a little bit intimidating to post here. I mean some of you guys have writen books and others are real students of the game etc. I know I'm thankful for the opportunity to ask questions.
