A gentleman on a muzzleloading site posted an inquiry about what he called an 1870 TD and described it as having three bands. I explained to him that something was wrong and asked him to post pictures. Turns out to be an 1870 marked '68 receiver and block with a full length musket stock and barrel with 3 bands. I ventured a guess that it was some sort of Bannerman rehash, perhaps using a modified 1866 barrel. I suggested that he post on this site to get an answer but since he didn't I thought I'd give it a try as I am a bit curious. Pics are at www.muzzleloadingforum.com/fusionbb/showtopic.php?tid/262318/
