I'm not sure I've ever made informed comments about Trapdoors. I'm not an expert on them. Your other comment is about a Montana 1873 Custer site and pretty common knowledge around here, but was not found by your friend. I'm referring to a Wyoming site in which a large part of that collection is in my collection.... Thankfully for me and a few other guys who hunted it, the University who did the study there in the 1950's missed it by perhaps a mile. But you missed the point entirely.. it had to do with the amount the carbine sold for, and I gave a plausible explanation for it. Again, I do not see it, but someone sure did.
