little John's auction on

Posted by Michael Collins on Thursday, 27 October 2011, at 2:20 p.m.

I am astonished at what 2 1873 Springfield Carbines brought last night on session 1 of Little John's auction. The difference between the estimated values verses the amounts relized is huge. These two Carbines that were in the Custer SN Range with long wrist stocks brought huge money. This is worth a look.I think they were lots 758 and 759. If not they were very close to these lots. I bid a couple thousand over the esimated maximums thinking that was way too much and woke up this morning to find out that I wasn't even in the ballpark. (See Mike Collins
