It's hard for me to keep under the speed limit. We travel in a Chev LS half ton with a HIGH output 5.3 liter. "Kermie" (green color) is a joy to drive but not to economical on gas.
I will have to see the base if it's at all possible. My oldest daughter was Army & the baby went to the Navy. Both girls married active military.
Bummer about SA tours Dick. We were there about 4 years ago & got the FULL tour. It was a slow day & we went through the Museum with the Curator of the Armory as our guide. I was blown away by a full case of '73's on display in the back room. It is impossible to tell you all the different variations of the TD they actually have that is not advertised. There are drawers full of pistols from all manufactures contracted by SA. The Curator was a wealth of information. We were going to apply for a permit to do research the next year to do measured photos of the Officers Model stock but "life" got in the way & we have not been back.
I'll report after we get back from RI.
