Yes, you have the so-called "Model 1888" rifle, even though it is marked 1884, with a sliding combination bayonet and cleaning rod. It was made in 1891 (possibly 1892 - not at my books). Many were used by militia troops (regular Army had Krags) in Cuba and the Philippines, 1898-1902. Approximately 67,000 were produced from 1890 to 1893. They are fairly common today. Ammunition (.45-70) is readily available.
