I would be willing to help you if you don't find anyone in the Fort Worth area. I am located SW of San Antonio and while I would not be able to meet in person to help, I am willing to help via email. There are probably others on this site who would also be willing to offer help so you have come to the right place with a project like that. There are parts available on this site as well as technical expertise that you will find no where else for restoring the old Springfield 45-70 rifles. I have restored several that I acquired as a pile of parts or as rusted hulks and have managed to turn them into quite respectable pieces again with help from some readers here and from parts available on this site. Let us know what you need or send a picture and we can take it from there. It also would help if you would give a complete description of what you have.
