Re: Article in Man At Arms

John, you must have REALLY offended MAA - I thought mine was slow. The delivery schedule must vary wildly across the country - not just simply an east-west thing.

Well, without revealing a private conversation, I can tell you that, from correspondence with Dr. Douglas Scott, I feel MUCH better about the case matches, though the "documentation" in the article was basically an insult to one's intelligence.

I don't particularly like the gun, for the reason above and as previously stated, and told him so. He basically deferred to me on that side of the issue. I'll buy that the firing pin, and perhaps the block, were apparently there, but - in that receiver? - I don't think so.

We'll see what happens - I'd not be surprised to see the piece star in a GMA, or Gangel, auction in the not-too-distant future. No one seems to know the owner, and I have to say that I'm not familiar with the author, either. Larry Gibson - whom I thought was a regular reader of this forum - has not yet chimed in; would really like his input.
