It's downright scary the way that knowledge spreads!

I have one of the 26 bayonets, but no gun to stick it in.

One "project" I still plan to accomplish is a five-foot wall hanger, made from otherwise abused parts. I'm thinking doing the latch from painted wood rubbed with graphite. Got a great long Bannerman stock on which I think I can carve the front profile, And a REALLY crappy buffed and reblued (modern "black chrome") barrel to be stripped and circumcised at 28". A regular 1879 sight will serve for my purpose.

On a similar topic - any interest in a REALLY rough (but complete and absolutely genuine) M1880 TRB, for $1800, plus shipping and insurance? That's a break-even, which is fine with me. Way less than half price of a nice one.
