It is the same stuff that is used to brown a muxxle loader.Exposure to boiling water changes it to another type of oxide & it turns blue. Laurel Mountain Forge makes a good one.

If you live in a area with low humidity you nay nead to build a simple sweat box or do it in the bathroom after running the shower a few minuites for each application. Also when finished you need to kill it with a bakingsoda & water solution. If you Google Rust Bluing tou can find some articles about it.
