Re: sling swivel

This is NOT a hard & fast statement, but.

From serial number circa 150,500--238,000 the swivels were held on by a rivet.

Between 238,001 to 451,000 they held by either screws or rivets. Not sure why other than to use up supplies.

From circa 451,000 to end of production all swivels were riveted.

Check your serial number to determine the correct application.

The easiest fix for the riveted style is to purchase a guard with the swivel attached.

I do not know of anyone who has the rivets available.
