Sounds like your bullets aren't spinning - sure sign they are undersized for your particular bore. What alloy are you using - you want the softest you can get, definitely no harder than 20-1 for target loads which can be handled gently.
I have never understood the complaint about difficulties in measuring TD slugs. Since the lands and grooves are essentially equal in width, the mike is STILL going to land "high-to-high", even though the jaws will be on "opposite" edges. I ABSOLUTELY agree that, were the l&g NOT equal, that THEN there would be a problem - on any odd-numbered barrel. Or, am I (not being a machinist) missing something?
