As for cleaning a trapdoor after shooting black powder; it is essential that you address the chamber also. Blowback can and does occur. So, the chamber must be cleaned as well as the face of the block and rear surface of the barrel. And, after firing, put your fired brass in a container of water and Dawn dish soap. The residue from black powder will corrode the brass.
