That gun - which I frankly had overlooked - has some issues. The rear sight should be an 1877, and fastened with slotless screws. They are fairly rare, and whoever put the 1873 on there probably couldn't find one. Worse yet, the breechblock is a very early one - whether or not it should have the high arch is debatable, but the low comb is DEFINITELY not correct. In short, not a virgin, but it looks to have been together for awhile.

I would think (hope?) that a correct one would be worth at least twice that. Whether one could get it in today's market is anyone's guess.
