Ian,

Get into the "SHOOTER'S PAGE" on this site, and toggle down about halfway and you will find a posting (which has been there for quite a while) about a very well explained "MICROMETER ADJUSTOR FOR THE BUFFINGTON REAR SIGHT". It was designed by Jack Jaquette and Hugh Harrington (a name I have not seen on this WebSite for quite a long time) called the "JAQUETTE BUFFINGTON SIGHT ADJUSTMENT TOOL". The story lists Jack's E-Mail address (I will confess that I have never tried to contact him) as jackcar@infoline.net - - this sounds like the gentleman who one of the previous posters was talking about. It is described as having been made made from a relatively standard analog micrometer with the anvil removed.

It should be worth a try. Good luck in your search!

PETE
