Shopper fatigue. Also many folks participate in the events of the Society of American Bayonet Collectors Friday and Saturday evening. Although nominally "bayonet" collectors, most collect bayonet holders as well. Several really scarce trowel bayonets out for discussion last night, including one unidentified. A number of trapdoor scabbards at the members only silent auction Friday that went cheap.

Baltimore is unlike any other gun show, and everyone really must get there at least once, and you will be hooked. If not for the opportunity to buy really neat and rare stuff, then for the social atmosphere to meet people with similar interests. If you need parts- you can probably find them here.

Gotta run- I need to stand on the street corner to beg for money so I can afford to buy all the stuff I would like to, but alas, that will probably be insufficient as the list is long!

After this a long drive home. I know that at the bayonet collectors last night we had two people from Hawaii, one from Germany and another from the Czech Republic, so no whining from people who live anywhere closer will be lent any sympathy. Just plan it as your annual vacation. And, if from far away, Springfield Armory is only about 7 hours away...
