Here is what I know....

Only from metal detecting the camps in Wyoming and the Rosebud site. The soldiers had the Springfields rifle and carbines. I know there were some Sharps and Spencers, but think they were mostly with some of the civilians and packers and Indians.

One would need to find the officers records that would have issues and the guns ect. One could search the NA for quartermaster returns and losses for the campagin. They would have had to list line items losses along with deaths ect.. but that would be in the surgeon reports.
