That would be fun. I have a 4 digit rifle that was obtained from a long time local family, and was cut down years ago for their use on the ranch. The GG father was in Crooks Column, came from Wyoming contingent, and then to Fort Custer MT. He somehow wound up with the gun and was in the family for years, then I bought it (cut down). Still a very nice gun, and solid bore. THe Spencer they had a friend bought and it was a heavily used cavalry gun. They said it was used at Fort Ellis, but the cavalry there had the Sharps conversions... but hecould have had it earlier in some of the Wyoming sites. Wish I had bought it, but it was a cavalry used and abused gun and rough.

I'll dig out the others.
