Good morning Dean,
Thanks very much for clearing that up for me. I am not very familiar with the S&W Schofield, and I only got involved with them in my search for information on my 1880-issue COLT Model 1873 First Generation Sing-Action Army. I was unaware that the COLT could fire both the shorter S&W .45 and also the full-size .45/LC cartridge. That was really my first recent foray into the antique handgun field (having been strictly a Springfield "TRAPDOOR" person).
