The butt-plate is marked US, not UC.

The stock mark is SWP (Samuel W. Porter, the Master Armorer) not LMP. It was stamped in 1890.

"P" means "proved" (tested).

9 E is probably rifle #9 from "E" Company of the First (fill in State of your choice) Infantry Regiment.

The "11" is probably from another usage - doesn't seem to fit the pattern.
