Nothing new has come up that I know of. They're still scarce, if not rare. :-)

I reviewed all of the old posts, and my own specimen, and - from the info so far presented - it does at least appear to be a real short rifle. Lack of filled band-spring cut and proper (slim) threaded-in rod are both VERY good signs.

Too bad about the cold blue, but, since the proper finish IS "white", like the rod, perhaps at least some of it could be non-invasively toned down. It's a VERY nice specimen.
