What has happened on that auction is EXACTLY what one does NOT want to see. In retrospect, I should have not bid at all until the last second, then hit it as hard as I felt I could - now it has had WAY too much (16 bids) attention called to it. If only it had had BIN!

I may bid again, I may not - it has some nice parts. I wonder if the other bidders realize it is an 1873 action? I'll bet at least some of them do not - one must look very closely - it only shows in one shot. I'd need to find an 1870 action, which I've never seen on the loose.

I tried mightily to educate the seller, and, to give him credit he did post a rather mealy-mouthed addition, which lacks any real conviction. Of course, HE's in the catbird's seat. He now has (at least) two idiots fighting over his goods!
