Hello Carey (and Ernie),

I would be very interested to hear how you make out getting the tap(s) from the UK since I still want to get myself a 5/32"-26 (or 0.157"-26 or whatever is the correct designation)for the screw thread of the holes for the Rear Sight. Actually the main purpose for my having bought my 2-tap/2-die set about 3 years ago (from Keith Rush at TRAPDOORS GALORE in Las Vegas) was to be able to re-chase several of the 0.187"-26 Lock Assembly mounting holes in the Lock Plate for a display I was making up for the OGCA Display Competition Show. I actually ended up having to drill a tap a couple of NEW HOLES in one of the .45-70 Lock Plates for mounting the Plate (since I needed to use the original 2 holes for their intended purpose). I had called Keith and asked him why he stopped at the 0.187-26 and 0.195-26 taps and dies and didn't get a complete set made up (I am still waiting for the answer...). But I would be very interested in getting one of the 0.157-26 taps for the very purpose you are - - i.e., cleaning up the first few lead-in threads on Rear Sight mounting holes.

So, please keep us posted (if you don't mind...).

With very best regards,

PETE
