If you find a tap that is correct you can modify it to become a "bottom" tap by VERY carefully grinding the point off the tap. I have done this with some of my taps to use on other models of rifles.

Necessity is the mother of invention.

I wanted a Globe front sight for the TD but no one made it so I created my own from a Lyman Globe by milling the base to fit the TD sight base. Now I sell them on GunBroker.com.
