I looked in my "ammo box" for some old Remington 405 gr .45-70 cartridges that I bought a long time ago. Only found 2. Never fired any of them in a trapdoor-I bought them to shoot in a mauser bolt action. Never impressed me, the trajectory was horrible, like a mortar, or any other indirect fire weapon. They are a soft point, jacketed bullet. Since I bought my first 1884 from Al a few years ago, I've never used anything except black powder, or a substitute. These days I'm trying 777.
