Re: End of a long search

They go into the magazine OK, and can be single-loaded into the chamber of course, but the difference in OAL prevents feeding from the magazine - at least in my four guns. Of course, this was not an issue at time of design because the 405gr was the only one then in use.

The problem with the CR is for a different reason - the magazine bar notches are spaced for the longer round (which was again the current one at time of design) and the mechanics will ultimately "short-cycle" and jam. The CR design was not very reliable even with the correct ammo, and, when manipulated in the wrong sequence, was prone to breakage. Certain rules must be observed as to how trap is opened, and when cutoff is moved.
