Re: End of a long search

Good morning Dick (and Ernie),

Ken did have another pretty nice Model 1870 "Trials Carbine" on his WebSite back around early November of 2009 (with an "1864"-stamped lockplate; what Ken described as a "poor man's set trigger"; and a replacement sling ring and bar). I had glanced at it, but I was dealing with Marjorie's death a week prior to that and guns (even TRAPDOORS) were the farthest thing from my mind at that point in time. I don't recall having seen this latest M1870 Carbine before, but I do remember Neil Gutterman having had one on his WebSite about that same timeframe (Christmas of 2009).

With very best regards,

PETE ("DAD")
