Only about 5% of the total trapdoor rifle and carbine production is listed in the Springfield Research Service (SRS) Books. Your serial number is part of the 95% of Springfield trapdoor rifle and carbine production that is not included in the books." Not listed" in the books says that the modern day researchers have not found any information on your gun at the National Archives and other government records that they have searched. If your serial number was listed in SRS books, you would be able to contact SRS and request a copy of the information that was found on your gun.
