Yes, my issue also arrived from Wayne Gagner in this morning's mail delivery. I thought that the S/N rang a familiar bell - - Nice article. Interesting "car-rifle" configuration. This latest issue [Number: 125 December 2010] was pretty much dominated by "TRAPDOORS" (always good to see), what with the M1865 "1st Allin Alteration" on the front cover (furnished by Jack lewis, Jr. at Cowan's Auctions", your gun's story (covering pages 125-10 through 125-13), and "AN AMERICAN INDIAN CARBINE" dominating pages 125-14 through 125-16. And if we were to include the 1903 Springfields and Krags, they were covered on Pages 125-17 through 125-23 - - and that is not even mentioning "INDIAN ARMS POWDER VALLEY" and The Report of the Chief of Ordnance, Page 322, discussing the siezure of a number of U.S. Cavalry arms by the Indian combatants at the Battle of the Little Big Horn.
