Finding data as to unit, troop, or individual issed to is next to impossible.

The Manufacture date of the receiver: July-Sept 1883.

While it is possible that the fifle was assembled that quarter. The Cartouche date is way off. Check the date on the stock closely. If it's not a "3" then the fifle was "messed with" after service issue.

Finding TD's with miss matched parts is not all that unusual. Stocks got broken & replaced with whatever could be found.

Have a Gunsmith check it over carefully to determine if it's safe to shoot & go out & have some fun with it.
