Mr Hosmer - In my explanation of the orientation of the markings on this firearm, I specified (on) wood, or (on) metal to designate the location of the marking. I'm sure all of this would be obvious to anyone with expertise in Springfield weaponry, but for myself, I only have this one to examine. It was unknown to me if the markings are "always" in the same specific locations. I have none-the-less greatly appreciated your valued information. Thank you D Leat
