Have looked at the SPAR reference provided by Mr. Leat.

If that description is not a SAD piece of crap, I do not know what is. Are we citizens perceived as being unable to comprehend any further info? No wonder our readers ask questions!

How about "Model 1816 Musket, type III, produced in 1839; converted to percussion ca. 1858"?

I just feel SO special in being enlightened by being told it is metal and wood!!! Just think, the person who wrote that crap probably has a college degree! Our tax dollars at work - sheeeesh!!
