Yes, there are COUNTLESS versions of the Remington rolling block, worldwide. I only collect and keep track of those certain models made at Springfield. :-)

As to your rod-bayonet, I THOUGHT you said the latches do not wrap the rod? That is what prompted me to presume you might have the rare one. The 1891 stock pretty well kills it though, or else you have a blend of parts. At this point, I'd have to see some good close-up pictures.

My 318991 is a completely correct "rare one"; while 527686 is the common type. I did not post detailed pictures of it, but may in future - the whole web-page needs some serious updating.
