Re: US 1884 help

That's a puzzle, it is somewhat out of range for the super-rare M1884 experimental rod-bayonet model (roughly 316xxx - 321xxx), and WAY too low for the common M1888 rod-bayonet (all are above 500xxx). Note that the M1888s ALL use the 1884-dated block - odd, perhaps, but that is just how it is.

Has to be some sort of overhaul, or re-assembly.
