The information may have come from several sources, but I would GUESS most of it is from John duMont's book "CUSTER BATTLE GUNS." In there is a chapter titled "Searching for the 7th Cavalry Firearms" (this chapter is written by Wiley Sword). Mr. Sword details deliveries of TD carbines, production data, etc. to arrive at five "classes" of TD carbines in relation to the probability of their use at the LBH.
