Re: Little Big Horn Carbines?

Dick, Thanks for those observations-- most interesting and appreciated. Being a long-time student of the Little Big Horn battle, these early carbines have always interested me. I was simply wondering what made the listed numbers in Salter-Rush list any more likely than other early carbines to have "been there". Do they appear in some records somewhere, etc.? Where did these numbers come from? In the end though, I think you are right-- they are said to be "likely" LBH carbines, only to boost sales. In fact, if it were possible, it might be interesting to see if any of these numbers have ever appeared in the inventories of Mr. Salter or Mr. Rush. Bill M.
