Re: Little Big Horn Carbines?

I assume the dealer in question is "Trapdoors Galore"?

The source of his info is PROBABLY the list published by Springfield Research Service, which was compiled from official sources, largely between 1970 and 2000. SRS remains viable, and a few (comparatively) new records have been found since 2000 - but the access parameters have changed. Try wwwDOTusmartialarmscollectorDOTcom.

As to the Nevada dealer, assumong it IS "TG", I personally would not trust anything that he had to say about "Custer" carbines. He admittedly assembles guns from parts, and was just convicted of a rather egregious (given his self-professed expertise) fraud in the sale of one.

Many of the numbers you listed are familiar to me, as I maintain a registry of 1873 carbines, now containing well over 1000 entries (NOT all LBH-related, of course) which I intend to publish, as an appendix, in the second half of my book (now looking like 2011-2012 release.
